Kumis was always a deeply personal project to me. Meaning silver in Kazakh — and it was also my grandmother’s name. I felt like I wanted to create something in her honor. So, here we are.
Silver has long symbolized purification and protection in my culture, yet it carries weight and rawness.
Founded in Almaty, Kumis transforms fragments of personal and collective memory into contemporary silver forms. Memory that lives in culture, architecture, in art, in inherited symbols, in the rhythm of nature and the vastness of the steppe. It lives in motifs passed through generations — sometimes visible, sometimes only felt — shaping who we become.
The symbol of the brand is Tazy, one of the rarest Kazakh breeds, embodies freedom, loyalty to the land, and resilience. That balance between rootedness and independence echoes throughout the brand.
Each piece is conceived as a modern talisman, gender neutral — meaning-driven, shaped by memory, refined through silver. Raw, seeking, grounded.
